WHO IS THE AUTHOR?

God’s Light is the author. Pamela and Dr. Harmon are named as authors for legal and copyright purposes. Dr. Harmon is the publisher and Pamela is the scribe. Pamela sits at her desk, opens her spirit to Light and as Light’s words flow through her she types them.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY GOD’S LIGHT?

Just as there are many aspects of your being, there are many aspects of God. Light is the aspect of God that is Creator Energy and Creator Consciousness. Light is the essence of Spirit.

IS LIGHT GOD OR IS LIGHT SPIRIT?

Light is a part of God, not the whole of God. Spirit is a part of Light, not the whole of Light. Light is not a spirit of light, but is The Light of Spirit. To understand this, it is necessary to read what Light has written in Light: The Act of Creation.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IT’S GOD’S LIGHT AND NOT PAMELA’S IMAGINATION OR A SPIRIT CLAIMING TO BE GOD’S LIGHT?

We have had experiences and signs - some of which are described in the book - through which we have come to an absolute knowing God’s Light has written this book.

DO YOU THINK YOU ARE PROPHETS?

No. We are teachers. Like all teachers, we are inspired when The Light of Spirit speaks through our spirits to the spirits of others.

HOW DID PAMELA BECOME "LIGHT’S SCRIBE"?

In 1992 Dr. Harmon unexpectedly channeled, while in an unconscious trance state, a message from what called itself Higher Spirit and others would call the Angelic Realms. The message was that The Word would come like a breath through Pamela and we were to teach these messages to all who are open to receiving them.

The writing has taken ten years because of Pamela’s doubts. She was at first honored and enthused, but the more Light wrote, the more she became convinced it was God’s Light writing, not just a spirit of light or the spirit of a lighted imagination. The more convinced she became of God’s Light, the more doubtful she became she was the right person for the job.

We think part of the reason we were chosen for this project was because we have the professional skills to help each other through our periods of doubt and discouragement.

WHAT ARE YOUR DISCOURAGEMENTS?

We are professional therapists. Pamela has had to sacrifice her private practice for the writing of these books. Their subject matter has cost Dr. Harmon professional credibility in the minds of some, though not all, of his colleagues. The cost of printing the books has used up our assets and then some. Promoting the books is financially, emotionally, and physically exhausting. We have been told it is imperative that Light’s Book be brought to the world’s attention as quickly as humanly possible. We don’t have the name recognition nor the finances to do this, nor the time nor the energy if we are to keep ourselves financially solvent. We are doing all of this on faith that somehow what we can give will be enough to get Light’s Book out into the world for the world.

WHY SHOULD YOU HAVE TO SUFFER IF YOU ARE DOING GOD’S WORK?

It’s part of the demonstration. Everyone - including us - has the spiritual power to attract the resources necessary to manifest their goals. Everyone - including us - also has challenges to their spiritual power. Some of these challenges are internal and some are external. Humans have many conscious and subconscious beliefs that block spiritual power. We know how to change these beliefs, it is part of the work we do. But just like everyone else, we have to work our way through - at times very deep seated - emotional resistance to making the necessary changes. Externally, there are always challenges to spiritual enlightenment. Challenge is part of the spiritual demonstration all must meet in making their way from the darkness of doubt and despair into the light. If we are to teach the way, we must walk the way.

YOU REFER TO THIS BOOK AS LIGHT’S BOOK, WHY ISN’T THAT THE TITLE?

This is the second book of the trilogy Odyssey of the Soul, so its title is Odyssey of the Soul. Pamela would like the subtitle to be Light’s Book, but Light gave it the subtitle Light: The Act of Creation. Perhaps those who read the book will answer for themselves why.

DOES THE INFORMATION IN THIS BOOK DIFFER FROM THE INFORMATION IN THE BOOK "CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD"?

Light writes that God does not communicate directly with any spirit, person, or being in the realms of form. The reason is the thoughts of God are of far too great a vibration for form to tolerate and are far beyond the understanding of beings in the realms of form.

God’s messages, says Light, are delivered through the levels of spirit consciousness between God and those who receive these messages. As every spirit has many levels of consciousness through which these messages must pass and as every level interprets the messages according to its own awareness and understanding, spiritual messages from God, Light, and Spirit do become adulterated by misunderstanding.

Light cautions to avoid following slavishly or dismissing callously any message from God, Light or Spirit no matter through whom they come, but to resolve rather to continue growing in spiritual awareness and understanding in order to better discern for oneself the truths in such messages.

Following Light’s counsel, we leave the comparison of the information in Light’s Book and all other books with messages from God, Spirit and Light to each person’s own spiritual discernment.
