"BREATHING
& HYPNOSIS SEMINARS"
OPEN LETTER FROM A FORMER "BEAUTY QUEEN" "I wasn’t a fat Miss Kailua Hawaii, but I was certain it was my "big" thighs that cost me the Miss Hawaii title. Little did I know how big my thighs - and I - would become! Despite the fact that my husband and I are professional hypnotists and hypnotherapists who have helped others to lose weight. Hypnosis and hypnotherapy helped me eliminate all desire for foods that are not good for my body, stopped my near constant cravings for snacks, balanced my hormones during and after menopause, and motivated me to exercise daily. Hypnotherapy helped me lose the desire to punish myself and to hide myself with excess bulk. Hypnosis and hypnotherapy healed me physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I stopped gaining weight, but I seemed to lack "something" to help me lose weight. I remembered the "aerobic" breathing Greer Childers teaches in her Body Flex Program as well as her theory regarding "shallow breathers". I have noticed in my practice that many people - especially those who have experienced trauma (even birth and early childhood trauma!) seem "stuck" in shallow breathing. So I began to breathe - aerobically. I would "breathe" while reading, watching TV, writing at my desk, and driving. I noticed an increase in energy immediately and started flexing and holding muscles (isometrics) while breathing. After three weeks I was shocked to realize I’d lost a whole dress size! I hadn’t changed my eating or increased my exercise - aside from the toning isometrics while "breathing". You could be a shallow breather, too, if you smoke, have suffered trauma at any time in your life, or you have any of the following chronic conditions: low metabolism; excess fat; low energy; low thyroid function; stress; anxiety; depression; arthritis; sinusitis; asthma; fuzzy thinking; constipation; aches and pains; incontinence; poor digestion; headaches; immune system problems; rapidly aging skin; frequent illness, colds, flues, or fatigue. I have continued the "breathing" and chair isometrics, and added the "breathing" to my regular exercise routine. My husband, Dr. Hugh Harmon, "breathes" with me for 15 minutes daily and he is amazed at the improvement in his energy and his waistline. WHAT WE WILL DEMONSTRATE & EXPLAIN AT THE SEMINARS: AEROBIC BREATHING: How it works for slimming the body, increasing the energy, and reversing a host of health problems caused by "shallow breathing". This breathing can be done without exercise or along with your favorite exercise. It can be done while walking, standing, running, jumping, jogging, dancing, working out at the gym, or while sitting down or lying down. It can be done while you read, watch TV or videos, listen to music, write, study, or (a quieter, slightly less effective version) while you are at the movies. Whether you exercise or not, the breathing will stimulate your metabolism and your energy and will increase the oxygen in your blood to support good health and healing.
PLUS WE WILL HYPNOTIZE YOU TO:
Afraid you can’ t be hypnotized or can’t go into hypnosis in a group setting? Can you close your eyes and listen to positive suggestions without thinking to yourself "this isn’t working" or "that won’t work for me, I’ve tried it before"? If you can, then THAT IS ALL YOU NEED FOR THE HYPNOSIS TO WORK!!! In fact, the harder you try to be hypnotized and the harder you TRY during hypnosis to listen and believe, the more resistance you will create. Don’t try. Don’t resist. Relax. (Even if the chairs are hard, you can relax enough for hypnosis. After all, runners who hit the "zone" are in hypnosis. Yogi’s who lie down on nails are in hypnosis. Daydreaming on hard chairs while you listen to a boring lecture is hypnosis.) Just tell yourself you WANT your subconscious to listen to and do what the hypnotist is saying. (We’ll tell you everything we’re going to say in the hypnosis before doing it.) Then listen quietly, without contradicting in your mind what the hypnotist is saying. Or let your mind drift to thoughts of being in a pleasant place where you feel happy and safe. You don’t have to SEE this place. Think of the feeling of being there. Recall the smells and the sounds. You’ll know you’re sitting in a chair listening to a hypnotist, but you’ll also be caught up in your special place. Can’t let your mind drift or let yourself relax in a group? Then just close your eyes and every thing the hypnotist says that you agreed with before the hypnosis, think, "Yes, that’s true." Or "Yes, I want that now." Afraid what the hypnosis is suggesting won’t work for you because you tried it before? Tell yourself, "Now that I’ve gotten the attention of my subconscious, it WILL work." After all, that’s really what hypnosis is….focusing the attention of the subconscious.
